絽と紗って何ですか？
と聞かれる事が有ります。
下記のように生地の一例を拡大した写真を載せました。
どちらも風通し良く薄手に織っている着物の生地ですが
縫製しても生地の縫い目が引っ張られないようになっています。
絽は写真の様に生地の糸の多い部分と隙間の部分が線状に連続しています。
絽では壁絽・平絽・駒絽(一例：男物駒絽)など織り方で種類が有ります。
紗も紗紬(一例：男物紗紬)・平紗・紋が入った紋紗(一例：洗える夏襦袢の紋紗）などがあります。
使用用途は、
カジュアル寄り 紗・・・絽 フォーマル寄り
になります。

What different bitween ro and sya(gauze)?
I am sometimes asked.
I have posted an enlarged photo of an example of the fabric as shown below.
Both are kimono fabrics that are airy and thinly woven.
This prevents the fabric seams from being pulled during sewing.
As shown in the photo, the parts of the fabric with many threads and the gaps are continuous in a linear pattern.
For ro, there are kabe-ro, hira-ro, and koma-ro.
Gauze and Sa-tsumugi, hira-sya, and mon-sya.
The usage is
More casual=sya(gauze), more formal=ro
It will be.
