About the pattern
Noh masks are used on the Noh stage and can express various expressions depending on the angle and light. They are a profound and unique part of Japanese culture.
They are also used as good luck charms. The Hannya mask with a pattern is believed to ward off evil and ensure safety in the home, while the Masume mask is believed to ward off evil, bring good luck, and ensure safety in the home.
